About the Item

A pair of identical Japanese enamel over copper vases. Each vase has a globular shaped body and a wide neck. Each vase is enameled with a polychrome design representing medallions with a rooster surrounded by leaves and clouds and blossoming flowers and fans surrounded by floral, foliage, butterfly and foliate scroll ornaments made in the Cloisonne technique. The necks and bases are decorated with polychrome floral, foliage, and butterfly patterns made in the same technique. Unmarked.
