Antique Japanese large pagoda form bronze kiln furnace for melting metal w/ the original ceramic insert ( signed at two places at top of insert in Japanese writing ) An incredibly beautiful and rare object ... for utilitarian or decorative use.     Repaired: bottom decorated shelf at lower opening and one leg were loose. both have been professionally reattached by braising of metal. Wear consistent with age and use. antique condition. original aged old surface color with oxidation to bronze metal. chips to insert. bronze kiln constructed in two sections ( top half lifts off footed base at ring above lower opening ).
