Amazing Chinese export eight-panel lacquered coromandel screen depicting a heavenly scene of immortals and sky gods floating in ruyi clouds. The fascinating scene is crafted in dramatic gold leaf and gilt with a stylish Greek key pattern border around the edge. Supported by square legs ending with brass-clad feet. The reverse side of the folding screen depicts a Stark bamboo landscape. This is one of the more unique and beautiful screens we have seen. Desirable aged patina on the finish.
