Spectacular Chinese export eight-panel coromandel screen featuring a vibrant blue mountain landscape with pavilions and pagodas. The idyllic screen has a fertility theme decorated with numerous young boys engaged at leisurely activities amid trees and lakes. The panels are incised with colorful natural pigments with intricate details. The scene is bordered by scholars objects. The reverse side is decorated with a stark tree landscape with blue rocks and birds. The panels are supported by square legs ending with patinated brass clad feet. From an estate in Beverly Hills, CA. The lacquer finish has desirable aged patina with craquelure that commensurates its age and use.
