This elegant screen features a graceful weeping willow adorned with plum blossoms and sparrows, symbolizing resilience, renewal, and simplicity, painted in the traditional bird-and-flower (huaniao) genre with delicate ink and watercolor on paper. The calligraphy, dated "Beginning of Spring, 1963," and the accompanying seals ("Creek Dwelling" and "Seal of Creek Dwelling") confirm its authenticity as an original work. Measuring H89cm x W175cm, its smaller size makes it ideal for a sophisticated interior, whether in a London townhouse or a Parisian apartment.
