From our recent Japanese Acquisitions- Hard to Find Lotus Flowers A stunning Japanese Antique Hand Painted six panel byobu screen on silk executed with lovely lotus flowers and vibrant blue waters. Fashioned by hand in stunning original brilliant blue, green, pink, white and gold colors. Japan, a fine six-panel screen byobu carefully crafted by a professional artisan with vibrant colors and hand applied gold leaf. This attractive screen dates to the Meiji period circa 1900 or earlier.. Features include a brilliant panorama of lotus flowers and blue waters. Please look at the photographs closely that reveal all of these fine details. We are pleased to have found this one coming from an old Kyoto area collection. Dimensions: Screen measures 40.5 inches tall and 93.5 inches wide extended. Black lacquered wood beautifully frames this serene and striking composition. The original old backing paper is present.
