Spectacular Japanese Showa period two panel byobu screen featuring spring blossoms, birds, and butterflies. Beautifully detailed iris, lily, rose of sharon, wild pinks, morning glory with birds and butterflies painted in the Nihonga school style. Signed by artist Kyoei with a seal. The screen is crafted from ink and natural color pigments on paper and set in a wood frame. The painting has a desirable aged, faded patina that adds to its character. From an estate in the Napa Valley, CA.
