About the Item

Paravento a sei pannelli raffigurante sei draghi dipinti su carta con fondo in foglia d’oro. Ogni drago, rappresentato in volo tra le nuvole, mostra posture, movimenti ed espressioni diverse. L’effetto visivo è enfatizzato dal raffinato contrasto tra il fondo dorato e le pennellate fluide che danno vita ai draghi. I pannelli sono impreziositi da due eleganti bordi in seta, mentre una solida cornice in legno laccato ne esalta l’eleganza e ne garantisce la protezione. Firmato Igarashi Shunmei (1700-1781) con sigillo. Artista di grande talento, studiò sotto Kano Yoshinobu, distinguendosi come maestro nella poesia, calligrafia e pittura.
