Japanese antique appreciation stone/penis-shaped stone/strange stone
Located in Sammu-shi, Chiba
We have a unique Japanese aesthetic sense.
And only we can introduce unique items through our purchasing channels in Japan and the experience we have gained so far, in such a way that no one else can imitate.
This is a stone carved in the image of an old Japanese male genitalia.
There is a possibility that it was a natural stone that had been carved by the running water of a river for a long time, but it is more likely that it was carved artificially.
In Japan, objects in the shape of male and female genitalia have been made for a long time. The materials used are stone and wood.
In the case of stone, some are made from 3,000 yen to 4,000 years ago.
At that time, it was used in ceremonies to pray for the prosperity of descendants.
In the case of this stone, it was probably dedicated to shrines and village shrines in hopes of prosperity of descendants.
This stone is believed to be from before the Edo period.
Because two types of rocks are mixed, the color contrast is beautiful.
I prepared the pedestal.
Also, there are some shallow cracks, but there is no need to worry about breaking the stone.
Wooden penises...

Chinese Carved Lapis Lazuli Scholar Stone
Located in Atlanta, GA
A Chinese scholar rock carved from a natural lapis stone and displayed on a brocade wrapped stand circa late 19th century Qing Dynasty. The brightly blue lapis was considered as am exotic gemstone in China and mostly imported from Persia through the silk road. While not a conventional rock types of materials for scholar stones, it is occasionally carved and polished into smaller Gongshi to be displayed and meditated upon in the scholar's study. Similar approaches were also done with jade, malachite and turquoise, even petrified wood, Chenxiang Agarwood, roots in spirited form, porcelain and even bronze in rock forms.

Japanese Lacquered Maki-E Fubako with Cranes Edo Period
Located in Atlanta, GA
A Japanese lacquered wood fubako with fine maki-e decoration (Fubako is a box used to store document or small scroll painting), circa 18th century Edo period. The rectangular box features a deep lipped lid with slightly rounded corners, a conforming lower box that is almost entirely covered by the lid which has two bronze medallion rings with tasseled silk ties. The surface decoration of this fubako is of superb craftsmanship and visually arresting. On a black background sparsely sprinkled with shimmering gold powder, the pictorial imagery centers on a flock of seven cranes on a coastal landscape. Three in flights, four perching ashore, the dimensional composition is classic and often found in Japanese painting from Edo period. Each crane was depicted in a vivid unique motion, using relief takamaki-e and gold fundame for highlight. The crowns of the crane were all dotted in red, a distinct character of Japanese Crane (Grus Japonensis), which are one of the most beloved birds in Asia and symbol of longevity. The ocean waves were beautifully rendered in hiramaki-e with gold powder and combed silver lines. Rocks in takamaki-e with gold kirigane form the bottom anchor, representing the shoreline and it continues to the end of the lid. On the sides, the scenery extends and bundles of large sea grasses with seeds sway in the wind. The two bronze medallion rings were silvered and appear original. The interior was finished in a dense nashiji and all the trims in gold fundame. Accompany with this fubako is an old label indicating the age of the box which we agree with.
Examining the fubako, it is evident that it was well used and of its original condition. A wonderful piece of Japanese lacquer art.
