About the Item

A superb stone sculpture of a dragon and flowers. Indonesia, early 20th Century. Reclaimed from an old building, this exquisite carving was an architectural detail that reflects the old traditions of Asian sculpture. With intricate details throughout, this hand-carved stone sculpture has the same look both in the front and the back. Can be placed indoors and outdoors. The natural stone has a patina conferred by time and the elements, and the sculpture rests on a modern concrete stand, created specially to accommodate the narrow base of the sculpture. The sculpture rests freely on the stand. See dimensions of the sculpture and the stand in the pictures.
