About the Item
In this listing you will find a gorgeous and large antique sculpture of Resting Buddah. The sculpture is shallow and it appears to have been mounted onto a stand before, as it shows a cement residues. Sculpture is done in bronze, decorated with small natural rubies, which reach between 3 and 5 millimeters in diameter. There are total of 38 of rubies still attached to the sculpture and it appears that there were more, but they have fell off over the time. Made in Thailand in 18th Century (per consultation with Christie's Auction House, Department for South East Asian Art)
Good antique condition with a small crack on the back of a shoulder, as shown in one of the pictures.
