About the Item

This is truly a spectacular work A beautifully sculptured Buddha head (the features and finial suggest that it is Thai/ Siam) on a custom display stand. The Buddha's eyes are semi-closed in serene meditation. The work has a nice almost bronze-like patina and a wonderful feel and heft to it. We have not seen anything else quite like it. Striking from every angle. We feel that this sculpture is likely from the 20th century but could be older. A very sizeable, heavy, solid piece. Would make for a great addition to any Asian art and artifacts collection or eye-catching stand-alone accent piece. Sure to make a bold statement in about any setting. Dimensions including stand: 40" high, 12" wide, 12" deep. The head is approximately 28" tall.
