Sometimes known as Okame, a beloved and popular symbol in Japanese culture. With plump cheeks and joyful smile, the image conveys a generous, kind and goodhearted individual, but who can also be powerful enough to frighten evil spirits. Painted with white face and black hair, remnants of which remain, resulting in a face full of character and strength.

Ko-omote translates as "little mask" or sometimes "small face." This particular delicate featured mask (her red lips really stand out) is used for main and sometimes secondary roles when the character is a young girl or, in some cases, a supernatural being.
