Late 18th century Stone Shan State, Burmese, (Myanmar) Buddha collected eighteen years ago in the Shan State while collecting for an Asian Art museum. Absolute stunning presence with pigments left over from the many Buddhist cleansing ceremonies it went through over a period of over 200 years. With a blissful compassionate smile, he touches the earth with his right hand to confirm his spiritual awakening.

    Additions or alterations made to the original. Repaired: This late eighteenth Century Shan State Burmese Buddha has a very old Temple repair on its base. I know it was a temple repair because there are old temple cerimonial pigments over the repair. Wear consistent with age and use. There is also a chip on the usnisa, ( Very top of Buddha's head ).
