About the Item

Intricately hand carved from a single block of richly variegated stone, this incredibly detailed and elaborate, Chinese sculpture is a true work of art. It features a dragon on a carved cloud like base and is very meticulously crafted, from the dragon's scales, to its' teeth and claws. The rich mottled stone enhance the sculpture, while the carving showcases the true mark of a lapidary artists' skill. This sculpture will not disappoint! Sculpture fits on a custom made rosewood base with silver wire inlay. According to the Chinese Zodiac, 2024 is the Year of the Dragon. In Chinese culture, the dragon is a symbol of power, strength, and good luck. Sculpture on base measures approximately 10.5” high x 16.5" wide x 2.5” deep. Weighs approximately 10 pounds.
