Interior solid oak fire door hand carved by artist Federico Armijo having custom solid bronze pulls that were designed by the artist for this particular door. Elegant carvings adorn the front side making this door a functional work of art. This door is also a certified fire door.
New Mexico circa 1970.
In outstanding vintage condition having been kept away from sunlight and gently used for an office.
79.25x36x2” HWD
From the Connecticut estate of late author Bruce Becker who was an avid collector of global art and sculptures. His collection including this door were imported from many parts of the world.
Federico Armijo is an American Postwar & Contemporary artist who was born in 1946. Armijo’s sculptures often reference the intersections of Native American and Latino culture in New Mexico.
