Bronze Push-Pull Door Handle with Heavy Patina

About the Item

A sculptural bronze push or pull door handle with abstract relief. Second half 20th century (probably 1970s), found in Germany. A heavy rectangular piece, made of cast metal, with a heavy green/brown patina. Overall good vintage condition with signs of wear and oxidation throughout, as one might expect from age and use. The piece can be used indoors or outdoors; the abstract pattern works in any orientation. The bracket is attached to the plate by two screws on the reverse, and fits either way around; the handle can be installed using two bolts (not supplied) to suit the thickness of your door and the weight of the metal. Approximate dimensions (as shown in main image): Main plate: H 16cm x W 12cm Depth: 6.3cm from the face of the door to the raised part of the handle design. Weight: 2.6 kg. The sideways projection of the bracket is roughly in line with the edge of the main plate.
