About the Item

An impressive and high quality Continental 19th century Louis XVI st. Diaspro Tenero di Sicilia marble and patinated Bronze pedestal. This impressive pedestal is raised on a rectangular marble plinth with an ogee top edge. A delicate patinated Bronze plate is set below a smaller marble reserve and leads to a stunning and intricately detailed mount decorated with acanthus leaves. At the top of the column is a charming patinated Bronze twisted ribbon band below a larger egg and dart band before the swiveling marble top. The rectangular Diaspro Tenero di Sicilia marble top swivels and displays a square edge accented with a patinated Bronze Rais de Coeur band.
