Daum France Crystal Cigar Ashtray Decorative Bowl Vide Poche Catchall, 1970s

About the Item

Daum France designed and crafted this elegant crystal cigar ashtray, catchall, or decorative bowl in the 1970s. The mouth-blown clear crystal is heavily carved with a round, weighty shape. The vide poche is marked on the side edge with the acid-etched "Daum - France" mark. This piece still has the original branded black sticker, Daum France. Dimensions: 6.69 in diameter (17 cm) by 2 in high (5 cm). Note: For over a century, Daum, the legendary master of glassmaking, has cultivated an enduring connection between art and craftsmanship, breathing new life into artistic masterpieces through crystal and color. From the École de Nancy and Art Nouveau to Art Deco, Majorelle, Dali, Arman, and Hilton McConnico, Daum has seamlessly woven itself into the fabric of artistic innovation, embracing every transformative movement with unparalleled expertise. These celebrated collaborations have cemented the brand's reputation, continuously strengthening the bond between creativity and artisanal mastery. Few names in the industry have partnered with as many renowned artists. Over nearly 140 years, Daum has amassed a legacy of more than 350 prestigious signatures—a heritage that stands unrivaled, forming a truly unique and extraordinary collection. (Credit: Daum Website)
