About the Item

Wonderful huge plate designed by Olof Ahlberg in organic forms of the Art Nouveau, the design is datable to the year 1905. The pewter plate is masterfully designed with light, translucent water waves through which fish emerge and swirl the water. Very plastic representation, like a relief, in a very flat medium. Very nice condition, according to its age. Schreuder & Olsson is a well known manufacturer of pewter in Sweden and linked to interesting design objects, which are high quality collectibles all over the world. On the back of the plate is the sign of Schreuder & Olsson and also of Olof Ahlberg. Measurements approx.: diameter 37 cm - 14,57 in, height 3,5 cm - 1,38 in If you choose this interesting object, you have a museum piece, then the same plate is exhibited in the permanent collection of handicraft in the National Museum of Stockholm, Sweden.
