A beautiful and rare compact by Line Vautrin, France. This piece is often named "Le Trianon" or "Les pavés du Roy". It depicts the small Trianon and the paved courtyard at Versailles. The small Trianon shaped box opens independently of the compact itself to house some pills, it is mounted on a hinge and can be flattened or raised A resolutely poetic work imagined by the poetess of metal, circa 1955. We are located in Belgium, we present Postwar decorative arts with an emphasis on Line Vautrin, French decorators (Adnet, Leleu, Jouve...) But also high end Murano glass (Venini, Barovier, Bianconi, Dino Martens, Alessandro Pianon...).
