About the Item

A beautiful antique decorative box, inlaid with different types of wood. This type of marquetry work is also called 'Oeben Cubes', named after the famous ebenist Jean Oeben (1721-1763). The pattern is made of diamond-shaped pieces of wood, but if you look at it in a different way, you see cubes, with depth. By using different types of wood, with their different grain and color, this effect is created. This box is beautifully made, a beautiful piece of craftsmanship. The box is in good condition. Including key. Dimensions: 27.5 x 15 cm and 12 cm high. Free shipping worldwide
