About the Item

Large round dresser or trinket box with lid features graphic decor with stylized leaves and scrolls motifs on the sides and the lid. The handle is sculpted in shape of a large knot of faux rattan or wicker, reminiscent of Chippendale style pieces. Large, highly decorative leaves and ornate scrolls form a rhytmic, flowing pattern, guiding the eye along the lines of the piece; the decor is influenced by both traditional Italian Country style (especially Deruta region) and Renaissance Revival style decor. Bright white decor with black outline stands out against complex mottled teal blue background; the handle is decorated in monochromatic white glaze. The box is signed on the bottom with "Made in Italy" and the model/decor number; it's missing its distributor sticker. Similar pieces were created for and imported by both Rosenthal Netter and Raymor, as well as some other companies. Sculptural dresser box with elegant form, striking color palette, high quality craftsmanship, and statement piece presence will make a perfect addition to a wide range of interiors, from Traditional to Victorian, Modern, Transitional, Hollywood Regency, Glam, Grand Millennial, Collected, or Contemporary.
