Early 19th Century Regency Burr Yew Tea Caddy



Early 19th century Regency burr yew tea caddy, circa 1820. Quite possibly one of the best tea caddies we have ever had in stock. Sarcophagus form shape beautifully made from burr yew with stringing and kingwood crossbanding. Lid opens to a fitted interior of 2 canisters and a later mixing bowl. Removable boxes with traces of the original lining. Standing on applied lion paw feet. Slight expected natural warping to top. Minor restorations to woodwork.
