Cloth brush, designed by Carl Auböck III (1924-1993) around 1960. Model number 5000. Manufacturer Werkstätte Carl Auböck, Vienna. Horn base with horse bristles. Typical for the designs of this family is the material mix of metal ( mainly brass), wood, horn, leather, bamboo, rattan aso. Carl Auböck III was an Austrian architect and desiger. He studied in Vienna and in the early 1950s at MIT / USA. After his fathers death in 1957 he took over the workshop and shaped its history for more than four decades. In the beginning with is mother later with his son Carl Auböck IV.
