About the Item

Gilt bronze inkwell in the Louis XVI style, representing Love seated with two sticks in his hands, surrounded by timbales. The circular timbales in gilt bronze, are decorated with drapery and rest on three feet. The whole is fixed on an oval base decorated with garlands and claw feet.
