About the Item

~Direct from England~ ~Lovely antique English Campaign mahogany portable writing slope desk~ ~Wide brass binding on top and sides with center brass plate (not monogramed) on the desk top~ ~The two section hinged interior opens to become a writing desk, with green embossed leather writing surface and compartments for inkwells, writing pens and document/stationery storage~ ~A small brass tab in the lower slope slides to allow access to a document storage area~ ~Pull tab on the upper slope lifts for access to more storage, a lift out tray, and two fitted drawers underneath~ ~circa 1880~ Measurements: 6.5”height x 14” x 9.5”. Green leather writing surface, approx. 15.5” x 12.5”. NOTE: All of our antiques are direct from Europe.
