Mid 19th century tunbridge ware book holder of historic Eridge Castle in East Sussex England. This is a beautiful and hard to find decorative book holder made of walnut with a satinwood background. Tunbridge ware is from the spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent in the 18th and 19th centuries. Tunbridge ware is a form of decoratively inlaid woodwork, typically in the form of boxes which makes this cover very special.
