About the Item

Arne Tjomsland Scandinavian Mid-Century Modern carved teak Polar Bear sculpture , marked Norway. The polar bear was the first animal he carved in the 1950s. In fine condition original condition, just needs some teak oil. Arne received a Gold Medal in the 1957 Deutsche Handwerksmesse in Munchen Germany, and a Silver medal in the 1960 Triennale di Milano.
