About the Item

Porcelain sculpture created by the Spanish artist Dulk. A work that is a call to action to protect our planet. A call to action to protect our planet through art. In Ephemeral Treasures, the artist Antonio Segura Donat, known as Dulk, merges his passion for nature with his artistic mastery in collaboration with Lladró. Ephemeral Treasures is inspired by the fauna of the Asian jungles, transforming Dulk's eponymous painting into a porcelain masterpiece. Each animal depicted, such as the peacock, the tiger, or the monkey, plays a key role in an allegory about the coexistence of species in fragile habitats. Through vibrant colors and meticulous detail, Dulk tells a thought-provoking visual story about the precarious situation of nature. The captivating beauty of the piece draws the viewer in, but as one delves deeper, a more profound message about the fragile state of natural ecosystems is revealed. Ephemeral Treasures is a composition rich in symbolism. The peacock, with its vibrant feathers full of meticulous details, represents the beauty that nature still preserves, while the hourglass resting upon it serves as a clear reminder of the inevitable passage of time. The piece, as a whole, is a call to reflection. Through a rich and poetic iconography, Dulk invites us to appreciate the beauty of the natural world and to be aware that, although time moves on, there are still opportunities to maintain and care for those ephemeral treasures that nature offers us.

The Guest by Kzeng Jiang, Big, Limited Edition
By Lladro
Located in New York City, NY
Porcelain sculpture created by the Chinese artist Kzeng Jiang for The Guest collection. This version of The Guest is by Kzeng Jiang, the first Chinese artist to join the creative universe of this iconic character. The work of the Shanghai-based designer reflects the contemporary culture of Asia in vibrant, radical illustrations. Kzeng seeks to render his cultural roots through symbols of traditions like Chinese facial painting or flower painting from the Song dynasty, reinterpreting these elements in his own personal style. In this case, for instance, he is portrayed with three big eyes on his face which, according to Kzeng, “allow him to see the past, present and future as if he were a messenger travelling through time.” As regards color, Kzeng chose blue tones on the white porcelain to ensure a sense of visual harmony and balance. He then combines these colors with touches of golden luster in order to convey the sensation of prestige associated so closely with ancient Chinese porcelain...
