This unique bust of a Roman soldier in scagliola is remarkable in its attention to detail. With nearly lifelike facial features, this soldier stands at attention sporting a hammered brass helmet and breastplate over his draping toga. The initials "SPQR" appear at the base of the bust paying homage to the Roman government. The bust is mounted on a prominent marble pedestal with a plinth and step base.
