About the Item
An elegant and high quality French 19th century Louis XVI st. Biscuit Porcelain bust. This charming two piece Porcelain bust is raised by a circular fluted Column with berried laurel, and spiral twisted bottom and top bands. At the center of the column is a wonderful reserve displaying a laurel wreath and banner. Above is the stunning bust of a young maiden above a circular mottled socle. The maiden is wearing her hair down while having a richly detailed floral crown with various size flowers, and her hair tied at the back with a bow. Wonderful detail and proportions throughout.
