French 19th Century Louis XVI Style Biscuit de Sevres Porcelain Bust
About the Item
A large-scale French 19th century Louis XVI st. Biscuit de Sèvres Porcelain bust of Madame La Contesse Du Bary in the manner of the sculptor Pajou. The bust is raised by a square socle with a mottled border. The Contesse in draped in classical dress and has her hair in an updo in ringlets. The back of the bust has the inscriptions "Portrait De Madame La Contesse Du Bary'. Beautifully executed.
