About the Item

This Art Deco patinated bronze sculpture was done by Serge Zelikson of France in circa 1920 in the period Deco style. The bronze is ornately cast and depicts what some have called an angel, and is a nude female body with presumably a female head with two large wings over her shoulders and she has claw feet. The sculpture is titled "La Tentation" which translated is 'The Temptation'. The sculpture is clearly signed around the bottom "S Zelikson". The sculpture sits on a period stepped round polished red marble base. A very unique sculpture open to various interpretations and technically well executed.
