Amazing Workmanship Antique Pewter Vase Cherubs Exploring and Hunting Nature

About the Item

Unique and extremely elaborate work of antique art. For the lovers and collectors of rare art from the Renaissance Revival period, we also have this sizeable and elaborate vase that will look amazing when displayed properly. We are very surprised that this incredible, 19th century work of art is not signed or marked. Not in the least, because we could not even tell how this amazing and partially embossed vase was made. Some of the boy sculptures that are climbing the tree seem to be welded on and some are embossed from the inside. This vase is so different from anything we ever saw that there must be collectors and connaisseurs out there who immediately recognize this style of work and therefor the artist. The scene with the boys exploring the nest up in the tree is the most amazing and we consider this to be the front of this antique vase. However, all around this vase little putto are exploring nature and one with his bow and arrow even shoots a wild goose from the sky. On the 'back' of this vaze is a pollard willow with two hares below. This part of the vase (see image 7) seems to be somewhat over polished. There also is a small hole drilled into the bottom of this vase. However, also with these traces of wear (consistent with age and use) this rare and intricate work of art is an absolute eye-catcher, a joy to look at and a great talking piece, because this is a vase, a sculpture and a 'painting' telling a story, all into one.
