About the Item

"Blue Figura Sentinel", a studio glass sculpture by Monica Guggisberg and Philip Baldwin. An early and unique glass sculpture from the times when the two artists had their first own studio, which was located in Nonfoux, Switzerland. Monica Guggisberg and Philip Baldwin discovered their particular style of making glass during the second half of the 1990ties, when this vessel was made. That way of making glass should become their unmistakable recognition factor until today. Combining Scandinavian and Italian techniques and adding skillful coldwork to their art glass. The artists are well known within the glass community, especially because of their long collaboration with Venini. This particular item is a one of from their own workshop, reminiscent of the work that has been published in various books in the times of their break through to international success.
