Gorgeous Murano hand blown Zanfirico ribbons and gold flecks Italian art glass sculptural flower vase. Documented to designer Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso, circa 1954, model number 5669 (published, see last photo). The piece has white net Zanfirico ribbons and pink “A canne” ribbons alternating on the vase. The piece is profusely covered in heavy gold leaf throughout, including the shell shaped foot. Beautiful vintage Murano hand blown white and blue ribbons Italian art glass flower vase. Documented to designer Dino Martens for Aureliano Toso. The vase is created in the “Mezza Filigrana” technique, with 5 rows of white and 1 row of sky blue ribbons in an alternating pattern. You can feel each ribbon on the outside when you touch it. Very nice hourglass shape with a cinched middle and flared top. Would make great display piece on any desk, vanity or coffee table. Mid-century era.
