About the Item
A stylish Arts & Crafts Royal Doulton Brangwynware leaf and berry pattern vase designed by Sir Frank William Brangwyn RA RWS RBA (1867-1956) and dating from around 1925. The vase of wide cylindrical shape is decorated with incised stylised floral and fruit designs hand painted in colored enamels on a peach colored ground. The vase stands on a narrow rounded foot with a narrow slanting rim and wide opening. The earthenware vase has printed, incised and painted marks to the base. The vase is impressed 7743 and pattern number D5079.
In good original condition with a couple of very minor short stress hairlines to the rim and age crazing to the glazed finish.
