Large vase in shiny lustre glaze. Hand-glazed. Circa 1920. Signed JP. Perfect condition. Dimensions: H 24.0 cm x D 15.0 cm. Jens Petersen (1890–1956) was a Danish ceramist based in Esbjerg, known for his Art Nouveau-inspired stoneware. He worked closely with his uncle, Søren Kongstrand, and developed a distinctive style featuring lustre glazes and organic forms, often with motifs like mermaids. Petersen’s works are signed with the initials "JP" and are represented in the collection of the Esbjerg Museum.
