About the Item

Luxury at its finest, this pair of high-end crystal love birds vases made and signed by Lalique.  The piece, originally designed by Marc Lalique in 1956 takes the form of two doves nestled together with wings outstretched. There is a cavity in the center of the vessel formed by the bodies of the birds which is intended to hold flowers. This set striking vases displays beautifully and looks great on a desk or counter whether showcased on its own or filled with flowers. An elegant and useful decorative accent. Lalique Lalique is a French luxury glass maker, founded by renowned glass maker and jeweller René Lalique in 1888. Lalique is best known for producing glass art, including perfume bottles, vasesand hood ornaments during the early twentieth century. Following the death of René, Lalique transitioned to producing lead glass (crystal) works during the 1950s while under the direction of René's son, Marc Lalique.
