About the Item
Beautiful and large, vintage Murano hand blown opalescent orange, and murrines Italian art glass flower vase. The vase is covered with layers of silver leaf, that triggers a chemical reaction with the opal glass layers, creating the "Chalcedony" technique look. The vase is decorated with abstract designs resembling flowering plants with feathered yellow stems. It has designs on 4 different sides of the vase. The flower murrines are very large, and have different colors, like blue, white, pink, orange, yellow and black. There are star shapes and swirl designs as well. Created in the manner of designer Aldo Nason and Galliano Ferro. Would make a great display piece on any vanity, credenza or dinner table. Late Mid-century era. A statement piece for any table. Measures: 10" tall x 6 1/2" wide.
