About the Item

The vase by Borek Sipek has leaves, shoots, thorns and twigs clinging on their surface. A whole world of fantasy stolen from the world of plants. In 1993, he won the Prins Bernard Fons Prize for architecture and arts. Sipek has an international reputation as an imaginative and versatile artist. He was appointed Prague castle architect by Czech president, Vaclav Havel. He worked from 1992 to 1996 on architectural detailing and other features of Joze Plecnik's 1920s conception. He re-designed and created new exhibitions for the state rooms. Although his main focus was art, he also had a passion for architect.
