Earthenware that was baked at low temperatures is now being baked at high temperatures due to the development of kiln technology. Baking at high temperatures makes the pottery harder and harder to crack. The color is light gray or gray. This is a technology that came from the Korean Peninsula. Some of them have a design similar to the pottery of the Korean Peninsula, Some are made by imitating Chinese bronze ware. Born in Osaka, "sueki" is gradually being made in various parts of Japan. And this is a flask-shaped beautifully designed Sue pottery. This shape was made in the Kansai region of Japan from the 6th century to the 7th century. But this is probably an item that was burned in the early 9th century, as I get it in the Kanto area. As a reference, I have posted pictures of similar objects published in art magazines. In addition, the color of the surface changes depending on the strength of the flame in the kiln during firing and the amount of ash. It has some black spots, but it looks like a very beautiful design. I feel wabi-sabi. There is a small chip in the mouth. It's in very good condition. It did not leak even if I put water in it. Please use it as a vase. Since the bottom is a sphere, a ring for stabilization is attached. A special wooden box is also included. It is difficult to get such a wonderful thing even in Japan.
