About the Item

The Stockholm set of 3 stacking ashtrays were originally created for Flamagas in 1967 by Andre Ricard, Spanish industrial designer. The Stockholm, as well as the Copenhagen set of ashtrays, were iconic designs by Ricard combining color, simplicity with practicality. Made from hard plastic and their circular design with slanted cutouts for the cigarettes were also space savers and could be used as candle holders if turned upside down. They appeared never used, in excellent condition. Measurements: Small- 3.13 inches diameter x 1.38 inches high - Med. - 5 inches diameter x 1.25 inches high - Lg. - 7 inches diameter x 1.25 inches high. André Ricard (1929- 2017) born in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain, was prolific industrial designer. Ricard designs focus was on lighting and household products. He gather worldwide fame by designing the torch for the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics and the Olympic Cauldrum at the Olympic Museum in Lausanne. Since 1963, Ricard created packing designs for Antonio Puig Perfumes, the best known the iconic green bottle of Agua Brava men's cologne.
