That's the best provenance anyone can hope for in a cigar ashtray. A fabulous gift for the cigar smoker, rare and ca. 1900.
Luchow's German Restaurant, (1882-1986) was frequently visited by Diamond Jim Brady (1856-1917), a big fellow, and was known to eat and drink more than his share at Luchow's.
A really special smokers delight. Polishing it to a shiny gold, won't hurt the value. We left it as we found it.
