Cobalt blue glass centerpiece with a fine base in 800 silver -- from Germany by M.J. Ruckert Silversmiths, circa 1890. The artisanal quality base is made of 800 silver, and features column legs with a full bouquet, along with hand-swagged flowered handles. The piece stands 2 3/4" high by 6 1/2", with hallmark as shown.

Beautifully adorned with stylized geometric and floral motifs around the rims, they measure 3 2/3'' in width by 2 1/2'' in depth by 1 1/4'' in height. Total silver weight is 13.6 troy ounces. Founded in 1837 by Charles Lewis Tiffany and John B. Young in Brooklyn, Connecticut, as a "stationery and fancy goods emporium", with the help of Charles Tiffany's father who financed the store for only $1,000 with profits from a cotton mill, Tiffany & Co. became a highly regarded brand for jewelry, gemstones, and silver.
