About the Item

An elegant Japanese 19th century Imari Porcelain and French 19th century Louis XVI st. Ormolu mounted centerpiece. The charming centerpiece is raised by a square Ormolu base with concave corners. Above the base is a richly chased berried laurel band below the circular mottled Ormolu socle. The socle supports the fitted Imari Porcelain bowl which is elegantly mounted with two side Ormolu handles adorned with perched birds at the top. The top of the bowl is fitted with an Ormolu rim with a foliate Rais de Coeur design.
