A Rare Creamware Sweetmeat Stand

About the Item
The striking and unusual sweetmeat or Grand Platt has two tiers of conjoined scallop-shells, the higher and smaller set supported on three S-shaped supports and a central fluted baluster column above a flaring domed base surmounted by a vase in the form of a a tulip at the top. The whole very crisp and well moulded.
