In the 1930s, the ceramist Ezio Cocchioni collaborated with some of the Umbrian ceramic factories that were part of the "CIMA" (Italian Consortium of Artistic Maioliche), including "La Salamandra" active in Deruta, in the province of Perugia, under the artistic direction first of Alpinolo Magnini and then of Nino Strada.
In the post-war years he continued his activity as a ceramic decorator at the " Maioliche Deruta " factory.
Some of his ceramics, with modern shapes and the typical small flower decoration, are preserved in the Regional Museum of Ceramics in Deruta.
