About the Item
A stylish and scarce early Art Deco Poole art pottery bowl with integral stand made by Carter Stabler Adams and dating from around 1920, The earthenware bowl is of rounded shape with a narrow stem attaching to a rounded saucer shaped base decorated in slightly mottled Chinese turquoise blue glazes with the natural clay red color bleeding through on the edges. This very stylish piece has an impressed CARTER STABLER ADAMS POOLE ENGLAND mark to the base along with artist marks and incised number 842.
